Dear fellow opera lovers,

At this time Auditorium's audio stream is working again -- sort of. But every ten minutes or so the stream is coming to a complete halt, and one just has to keep hitting the play button for a minute or two before it starts to play again. In addition this stream once again has improper balance between the left and right channels. We have again written to this station. If you also experience these problems and they particularly bother you and you wish to join OperaCast's voice in protest, let us know and we will furnish you with the appropriate email addresses.

Hector's stream suffers from a low-level beeping in the background. The station has been notified but so far has not responded or repaired the problem. If you also experience the problem and it particularly bothers you and you wish to join OperaCast's voice in protest, let us know and we will furnish you with the appropriate email addresses.

For the Saturday OperaCast of the Metropolitan Opera, the following audio streams are currently suffering from minor or major difficulty: KOHM, KUNR, Maine Public Radio, WABE, WCLV, WCNY, WETA, WFDD, WFIU, WHRB, WKNO, WUFT, WUOT, and WWNO.

Radio 4 Netherlands' 64k stream is back in service. Enjoy.

Radio Clasica de Espana's audio stream is working again. Even when working however this stream occasionally suffers from gargliness in the audio. It is most readily apparent during solo wind instruments or, unfortunately, certainly solo voices. The station has been notified but so far has not responded or repaired the problems. If you also experience the problem and it particularly bothers you and you wish to join OperaCast's voice in protest, let us know and we will furnish you with the appropriate email addresses.

I am happy to report that Radio Cultura's audio stream once again appears stable. The station was well aware of this problem, and worked closely with OperaCast to correct it. It was a pleasant change of pace from so many of the stations which wind up on our wall of shame here who seem to feel that a properly working audio stream is beneath them.

I am happy to report that RDP Antena 2's 64k Windows Media Player audio stream is working again. Enjoy.

Happy listening,

Charles
