Saturday LIVE offerings

Here's the lineup of live offerings for this afternoon:

  • France Musiques, Latvia Radio Klasika and Radio Tre (RAI) - The Chatelet Ring Cycle from January of this year, continues with Siegfried, featuring Jon Fredric West, Volker Vogel, Jukka Rasilainen, Sergei Leiferkus, Kurt Rydl, Linda Watson, Qiu Lin Zhang and Natalie Karl, conducted by Christoph Eschenbach.
  • DeutschlandKultur Radio - A performance from Amsterdam of Massenet's Don Quichotte, with Roberto Scandiuzzi, Alain Vernhes, Monica Bacelli, Silvia de la Muela, Thomas Oliemans and Pedro, conducted by Jaap van Zweden.
  • DR P2 - Lully's Isis, with Françoise Masset, Isabelle Desrochers Calliope, Valérie Gabail, Guillemette Laurens, Robert Getchell, Howard Crook, Bertrand Chuberre, Bernard Deletré and Renaud Delaigue, conducted by Hugo Reyne.
  • Klara - A Bolshoi perfromance of Prokoviev's War and Peace with Andrej Grigoriev, Jekaterina Sjerbasjenko, Margarita Mamsirova, Roman Muravitski, Oksana Kornievskaja, Vsevolod Grivnov, Paata Burchuladze, Boris Statsenko, Tatiana Jerastova and Joeri Baranov, conducted by Alexander Vermikov.
  • Musiq3 - From December 2005, a Vienna Staastoper performance of Verdi's Falstaff, with Thomas Hampson, Boaz Daniel, Saimir Pirgu, Krassimira Stoyanova, Tatiana Lisnic, Jane Henschel and Nadia Krasteva, conducted by Daniele Gatti.
  • Radio 4 Netherlands - From Netherlands opera, a performance of Strauss' Elektra, with Felicity Palmer, Nadine Secunde, Gabriele Fontana, Donald Kaasch and Gerd Grochowski, conducted by Ingo Metzmacher.
  • Metropolitan Opera Broadcast (numerous stations) - A performance of Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, with John Relyea, Andrea Rost, Maurizio Muraro, Wendy White, Alice Coote, Peter Mattei, Soile Isokoski, David Cangelosi, Patrick Carfizzi, Bernard Fitch and Tonna Miller, conducted by Mark Wigglesworth.
  • NRK Alltid Klassisk - A rebroadcast of an April 2005 performance from Covent Garden of Verdi's Un Ballo in Maschera, with Marcelo Alvarez, Karita Mattila, Thomas Hampson, Elisabetta Fiorillo, Camilla Tilling, Giovan Battista Parodi, Matthew Rose and Jared Holt, Andrew Kennedy, conducted by Antonio Pappano.
  • Radio Oesterreich International (ORF) - A concert performance of Schubert's Alfonso und Estrella, with Dorothea Röschmann, Kurt Streit, Christian Gerhaher, Jochen Schmeckenbecher and Hanno Müller-Brachmann, conducted by Nikolaus Harnoncourt.
  • NPR World of Opera - Vivaldi's Orlando Furioso from Genoa's Teatro Carlo Felice, with Ann Hallenberg, Elena Belfiore, Laura Aikin, Annarita Gemmabella, Max Emanuel Cencic, Vito Priante and Franco Fagioli, conducted by Alan Curtis. [Note that WDAV is broadcasting NPR World of Opera on a one-week delay and will be carrytin the P:odles Tabcredi from Toronto.]
  • Espace 2 - A January 2006 performance of Massenet's Cherubin from Teatro Lirico de Cagliari, with Michelle Breendt, Patrizia Ciofi, Carmela Remigio, Giorgio Surjan, Teresa Di Bari, Alessandra Palomba, Nicola Ebau, Bruno Lazzaretti, Riccardo Novaro, Riccardo Giannino and George Mosley, conducted by Emmanuel Villaume.
  • Rete Due - Donizetti's Pietro Il Grande conducted by Marco Berdondini.
