Att.: Crespin, Litvinne and Lubin fans

Hello --

Please tune in tomorrow evening (Tuesday evening) for a four-hour program on WMNR FM (in Monroe Connecticut - http://www.wmnr.org) and on the Internet, starting GMT 0000/EDT 8:00 PM. I'll be the guest for an evening of records devoted to the French vocal tradition, focusing on Regine Crespin, who celebrates her eightieth birthday this year, on Crespin's teacher Germain Lubin, and on Lubin's amazing teacher Felia Litvinne. The program will showcase these three divas and their successes in the works of Wagner, Verdi, Beethoven, Massenet, R. Strauss, Meyerbeer, Gounod, Berlioz, Gluck, Bizet and many others. You can find the listing and full access to the Web audio stream at http://www.operacast.com/thiswed.htm where you simply scroll down to the GMT 0000/EDT 8:00PM (Tuesday) slot and link to the WMNR stream from there.

My special thanks to Ward Marston, who has just released a loving restoration of Litvinne's priceless recordings, but who, much as I would have wished it, unfortunately will not be participating tomorrow night.

Hope many of you can hear and enjoy this program.

Best to all,

Geoffrey Riggs
